On January 18, 2025, the monument erected in memory of the martyrs who lost their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan on January 20, 1990 and Georgia on April 9, 1989, located in Alget village of Marneuli municipality, was commemorated. After laying flowers on the monument, the participants of the event, Kamil Efendiyev, the military attaché of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia, Emin Ahmadov, the director of the "Development and Education Center", and Ilkin Huseynov, the CEO of Aktual Media, spoke about the tragedy of January 20, and commemorated the martyrs. During the speeches, it was also noted that the monument was erected by Alget villagers in the 1990s, repaired by active youth in 2017, and at the beginning of January 2025, with the joint support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia and SOCAR, repairs and restoration around the monument will be carried out. work has been done. Teachers and students of "Tea House" took part in the event.
