On September 18, 2025, an artistic evening dedicated to the Day of Azerbaijani National Music was held at the Marneuli House of Culture, jointly organized by the “Development and Education Center”, “GASU” and “SARAL Development and Education Center”.
The event opened with the dance “Sari Gelin” by Melek Humbatova, a member of the Buta dance ensemble, and a performance by Mahira Durmuşova. Then, the director of the “Development and Education Center”, Emin Ahmadov, made a speech and greeted the participants. In his speech, he spoke about the importance of the day, emphasizing the importance of preserving the richness of Azerbaijani national music and passing it on to the younger generation.
Also, the responsible employee of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia, Javid Maharramov, congratulated the participants of the event on behalf of Ambassador Faig Guliyev and noted that the dedication of this day to both Azerbaijani national music and the birthday of the great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli is of particular importance.
Later, the manager of the "Saral Development and Education Center", Sara Isgandarova, provided information about the life and work of Uzeyir Hajibeyov. The director of the Tbilisi Municipal College of Traditional and Contemporary Art named after Sergo Zakariadze, Ms. Mzia Aprodonidze, spoke about the importance of the event and wished the participants success.
At the event, the Children's Choir "Azerbaijanym" operating under the artistic direction of Mahira Durmuşova and the choir group operating under the "Saral Development and Education Center" performed the song "Shen Azerbaijan".
The "BUTA" dance ensemble operating under the direction of choreographer Keti Kopilashvili presented the dance "Nalbeki", and the "GE Folk" group of the Tbilisi Municipal College of Traditional and Contemporary Art named after Sergo Zakariadze, under the direction of choreographer Tinatin Koiava, presented the dance "Uzum".
In the next few minutes of the event, Ramin Pirmammadov performed “Azerbaijan” on the tar, Nurlan Khansultanov performed “Bahri-divani” on the saz, and violinist Margarita Chernyshevskaya performed “Синяя вечность”.
Then, Nurana Abuzerova performed the classical folk song “Bu gun ayin uchudur”.
The artistic evening ended with the performance of violinist Margarita Chernyshevskaya’s piece “Kuchelerə su səpmishem”.
The event was hosted by Arzu Aliyeva.
The event was attended by state and non-state representatives, artists, the public, and youth.
