On September 27, 2025, on the occasion of Memorial Day, the monument to National Hero Jalil Safarov, originally from the village of Lejbaddin, Marneuli Municipality, was visited.
The participants of the event laid a wreath in front of the monument and commemorated our heroes who died for the Motherland with a minute of silence.
Then, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Mr. Faig Guliyev, made a speech and deeply respected the memory of our heroes who heroically died in the 44-day Patriotic War and spoke about the courage they showed.
Then, Emin Ahmadov, Director of the "Development and Education Center" and Mahir Darziyev, former deputy of the Georgian Parliament, spoke about the eternal place of the martyrs in the memory of our people and the important role their courage played in preserving and perpetuating the spirit of patriotism.
Speaking at the event, Sara Isgandarova, manager of the "Saral Development and Education Center", gave the participants extensive information about the life path, combat activities and bravery of National Hero Jalil Safarov, who was heroically martyred in the 1992 Karabakh war, while Aytekin Allahverdiyeva, head of GASU-Georgia Azerbaijani Students' Union, spoke about September 27 - Memorial Day. GASU members and village residents participated in the event.
The event was hosted by Aytekin Allahverdiyeva.
