On May 10, 2025, an event dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev was held at the Marneuli House of Culture on the theme “National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the author of the Constitution of Independent Azerbaijan - 102 years”.
Representatives of state institutions, the public and young people participated in the event.
The event began with the singing of the national anthems of Georgia and Azerbaijan by members of the "Georgian Language Reading Cube" of minors operating under the Tea House. The event was opened by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, who spoke in detail about the life, activities, constructive work, etc. of the Great Leader. Speaking at the event, Marneuli Mayor Kenan Omarov spoke about Heydar Aliyev's contributions and role in the development of Georgia-Azerbaijan relations, and Emin Ahmadov, Director of the "Development and Education Center", spoke about the importance of the event, the importance of informing young people, their participation in the event and the activities to be carried out in the coming years. Then, young talents, singers Shaban Mammadov, Iamze Jaxeli, and Nino Oloshvili, a member of the music course of the Marneuli Cultural Center, performed in Georgian and Azerbaijani. Georgian and Azerbaijani national dances of the "Buta" dance ensemble operating under the Tea House were also presented at the event.
Within the framework of the event, the heads of various centers and educational institutions were awarded for their contributions to the development of youth in the fields of education, culture and sports, diplomas were presented to successful young people, as well as certificates were presented to 102 participants who successfully completed courses at the "Tea House" during 2024. At the end of the event, 102 balloons were released into the air by these young people. The event was hosted by Arzu Aliyeva.
The event was held with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia and organized by the "Development and Education Center".
